Our Home School Link Worker is Mrs Clare Harwood.
What does a Home School Link Worker Do?
Being a parent can be rewarding but it's also one of the hardest jobs you will ever do - I can offer you a listening ear and some understanding of the many ups and downs of family life.
I am here to provide support to you and your family to enable your children to enjoy school and feel happy and safe.
How can I help you?
Provide a safe place for you to discuss your concerns
Support children in school with 1:1 or group sessions as appropriate.
Guide you to other sources of help, advise and support as appropriate.
What sort of issues can I help with?
Children who are finding school difficult, who are anxious or reluctant to come to school.
Families who are going through difficult times such as illness, separation, divorce, bereavement, domestic violence or financial worries.
Parent/carers who are experiencing difficulties managing their child's behaviour.
I am normally at school Tuesdays and Fridays. You can telephone the school office or ask for one of my leaflets to fill out which are in the reception areas of the schools. Please mark your envelope Private and Confidential.
What can you expect?
The Home School Link Worker could be contacted by you, a teacher or your child. With your consent, we will then explore the issues together and identify the best way forward.
Before I start to work with your child, I will always obtain your consent.
